CONCELEBRATIONS IN THE GROTTE DES RAMEAUX

  • until the 1st of November, 5 scheduled masses each morning: 6 a.m., 6.45 a.m., 7.30 a.m., 8.30 a.m. and 9.45 a.m.
    The last two masses are reserved for major pilgrimages with sick participants.
  • Grotte des Rameaux after the 2nd of November, 3 scheduled masses each morning: 7.30 a.m., 8.30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
  • These services involve several pilgrimages, and are therefore always concelebrated. One mass per language every day.
  • An organised pilgrimage group may only request the use of the grotto once during its stay in Lourdes.
  • Preference is not necessarily given on a first come, first served basis. 15 minutes before the mass, a discussion is held in the Grotto sacristy to determine who will be able to provide the best service.
  • We would therefore request that all groups and pilgrimages adhere to these rules.

As you will appreciate, theses rules are necessary for insuring the dignity of the mass, and respect for the site and pilgrims alike.

CHAPEL RESERVATION

  • Priests may celebrate mass with their group inside the Shrine, after having obtained prior consent from the guide or the person in charge.
  • The various chapels available are listed on the reservation form:
  • Grotte Des Rameaux until the 1st of November:
    from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ending at 7 p.m.)
  • Grotte Des Rameaux after the 2nd of November:
    from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ending at 7 p.m.)
